Method
- Heat your large pan or large pot over medium-high heat. Melt the butter (or olive oil) and sauté the minced garlic 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add remaining ingredients except shrimp.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook, covered, another 5-10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- Gently stir the jambalaya. If desired, top with freshly grated parmesan cheese before serving.
