Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 15-ounce can peaches, drained and diced (or 2-3 fresh peaches, peeled and diced)
  • Toppings optional: extra chopped peaches, cream, chopped pecans, homemade granola, greek yogurt

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring often to avoid clumping.
  4. Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as a drizzle of cream, extra chopped peaches, and a sprinkle of chopped pecans or homemade granola for extra creaminess and crunch.
