Easy One-Pot Mushroom Rice Recipe {Sooo Good!}

This rich, buttery mushroom rice recipe is full of earthy flavor, tender rice, and simple comfort - perfect for any meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup one stick butter
  • 1 cup regular long grain white rice
  • 1 can condensed French onion soup
  • 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms or one 2 1/2 ounce can of sliced mushrooms
  • 3/4 SOUP CAN of water

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a casserole dish.
  3. Add rice to the melted butter and stir to coat.
  4. Add mushrooms, condensed French onion soup, and 3/4 SOUP CAN of water. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 90 minutes.
  6. Stir just before serving.

Notes

Instead of using fresh mushrooms, a 2 1/2 oz can of sliced mushrooms or mushroom pieces can be used. Be sure to DRAIN them before adding to the casserole.
