Ingredients for Giant Meatballs
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup cracker crumbs, such as Ritz Crackers
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 jars marinara or pasta sauce of choice, such as Good & Gather Traditional Pasta Sauce
- Cooked pasta for serving
Directions for Making Giant Meatballs
- Preheat over to 400 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, parsley, egg, parmesan cheese, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add the ground beef to the cracker mixture and mix with hands or a wooden spoon just until combined (do not overwork!).
- Shape the mixture into 12 meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking pan. Note: make sure you use a baking pan with sides so the grease doesn’t run over.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then simmer in marinara sauce 15-20 minutes.
- Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with more parmesan and parsley, if desired.
